Recovery (Small Herbivores) | RSH

Complete recovery food for small herbivores

Recovery (Small Herbivores) is a complete recovery food for rabbits and guinea pigs and other small herbivores, such as turtles and iguanas. It is specially formulated for animals that are unable to ingest sufficient food or eat by themselves. The fine structure of Recovery (Small Herbivores) helps prepare a thin feed mixture without lumps. The diet is easy to administer with a syringe. Because the suspension is thin and smooth, it is less likely for the syringe to become clogged. The addition of anise enhances the palatability and promotes intake.

Indications

  • Nutritional support of critical, anorexic small herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises and iguanas
  • Patients with insufficient food intake or patients who are unable to eat by sickness and recovery

Contra-indications

  • Hand rearing of non-weaned animals

Product features

  • High energy content due to relatively high fat value. Offering an energy source during the acute phase in the form of the branch chain amino acids, valine, leucine and isoleucine.
  • Rehydration due to water in the suspension and an increased sodium and potassium value as compensation for losses. Covers the vitamin C requirement of the guinea pig.| Activation of intestinal motility and intestinal flora by mixture of fibers, including fructo-oligosaccharides, with variable fermentation speed and good availability of micro and macro nutrients. Promotes the conversion of ammonia into urea by added arginine.
  • Stimulation of immune system and intestinal barrier by enrichment with glutamine and reduction of inflammations by the addition of omega-3 fatty acid.
  • Reduces protein catabolism by a high level of protein with a high digestibility and ideal amino acid profile.
  • Slows down the breakdown of muscle protein and activates wound healing by zinc suppletion.
